We’re looking for an experienced Backend Engineer to join our team at Bluum Finance. You’ll be working on building and maintaining the core infrastructure that powers our investment API platform, enabling companies to launch modern wealth experiences for their users.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable backend services and APIs for our investment platform
- Build and maintain infrastructure responsible for REST APIs, data processing, and production systems
- Collaborate with mobile and web teams on project requirements and system design
- Work closely with the CTO and engineering leadership on architecture decisions
- Maintain staging and production infrastructure on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Ensure system reliability, security, and compliance with financial regulations
- Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews
- Monitor and optimize system performance for large-scale, multi-tenant systems
Requirements:
- Proven experience in backend development with languages such as Python, Node.js, Go, or similar
- Experience building and maintaining REST APIs and microservices architecture
- Strong understanding of system design, databases, and distributed systems
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and infrastructure as code
- Knowledge of financial systems, payments, or fintech is a plus
- Experience with large-scale, multi-tenant systems or Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
